Online Card Games for Four to Six Friends: Choose Your Table

By eggverse · · 4 min read

Four to six friends can share one table in Spoons, The Yolk's On You or Texas Hold'em on eggverse. All three currently support two to eight human players. Choose Spoons for matching and grabbing, Cheat for hidden claims and challenges, or Hold'em for betting decisions with free table chips. Speed is for two players, so a larger group needs separate pairs.

Spoons for matching and quick reactions

In Spoons, the first player with four matching cards can take a spoon. Once a spoon is gone, everyone else can grab, even without a matching hand. There is one fewer spoon than players. Missing out or grabbing too early eliminates you.

Explain elimination before the first game, especially if friends remember a home version that awards letters instead. Agree that an early exit means a chance to watch or chat until the next game. The Spoons rules guide explains passing and the first legal grab.

Cheat for claims and accusations

In The Yolk's On You, players put cards face down and claim a rank. The next person can challenge during the three second window. Use the game’s challenge button: shouting an accusation on your voice call does not submit a move.

Try this teaching example before starting: a claim contains one card of the announced rank and one wrong card. The whole claim is false. If challenged, the bluffer takes the entire accumulated pile. A mistaken challenger takes that pile instead. Clearing your final cards still leaves a last challenge window.

Use the Cheat guide for the full sequence. A warm up claim helps the group understand the stakes without a long speech.

Hold'em for learning a shared table

In Texas Hold'em, each player gets two private cards and combines them with the shared board to make a best five card hand. Everyone starts with 500 free table chips, separate from the eggverse wallet. Folding leaves the current hand, not the whole night. The last funded player wins the table format.

The current room limit is eight, so a seventh or eighth friend can join your next table too. Explain check, call, raise and fold before playing; the Hold'em guide walks through each action. A player who runs out of chips can wait for the next table or the group can agree on a fresh start together.

Send one clear invitation

Open your chosen game preview and use an Invite seat to create the room invitation. Share it with your group, check that everyone has joined, then let guests ready up before the host starts. For an all human game, leave the optional bot seats empty.

Card night: six of us, starting with Cheat. First game is practice. Keep our usual call open and use the game’s button for challenges. Two more friends can join if they are free.

Add your actual date, time and voice call link before sending. If more than eight people arrive, use separate rooms or take turns between games. Do not try to fit extra players into a full room.

Quick answers

What if eight friends arrive?

Spoons, The Yolk’s On You and Texas Hold’em all support eight human players in the current version. Speed supports two per match.

Which one should beginners learn first?

Choose by pace and interest. Spoons needs quick reactions, Cheat needs attention to claims, and Hold’em needs an explanation of betting actions. Run a practice game and ask what the group enjoyed.

Can four friends share one Speed match?

No. Speed has two seats. Four friends can play in two separate rooms and rotate between completed matches.
