Musical Chairs Online With Friends: Meet Musical Nests
By eggverse · · 2 min read

Musical Nests is eggverse's musical chairs game for two to eight friends. Circle the nests while the music plays. Freeze when Chef turns around. When the music stops, race to sit. There is one fewer nest than eggs, so one egg is eliminated each round. The last egg in the last nest wins.
Open Musical Nests, choose Play with friends, share the room invitation and ready up together. Play solo lets you learn against seven bots. The game runs in your browser without a download.

Three moments to watch
| Cue | Your move |
|---|---|
| Music is playing | Keep moving outside the nests. Staying in one spot brings a warning, then a stun. |
| Chef turns to watch | Freeze. Moving while Chef watches stuns you and sends you to the edge. |
| Music stops | Race to a free nest. Walk into it to sit, or dash to bump a rival out before claiming it. |
Chef's freeze cue is different from the end of the music. Required freezes do not count as camping. While music plays, staying still warns you after one second; after two seconds you are stunned and moved to the edge.
Find the controls before the music starts
On a computer, use WASD or the arrow keys to move and Space to dash and bump. On a phone, drag the movement stick and tap Dash. Walk into a free nest after the music stops to sit automatically. Press P to pause solo play.
A quick explanation for your group
Move with the music. Freeze for Chef. When the music stops, get into a nest. Dash can bump someone out, but waiting in one place while music plays gets you stunned.
Let everyone find their controls before starting. This is an elimination game: after an egg misses a nest, that player can stay on your call and join the next game with the group. The round continues until one egg wins.
Prefer another format? Speed is a two player card race, while Royal Shells is untimed chess for two. Larger groups can split into pairs.
