Ways to play Incognitegg
Incognitegg is a free Where’s Waldo party game with eggs. One player seeks with a magnifying lens; everyone else is standing somewhere in a painted page of thousands, in a red hat, shoulder to shoulder with the crowd. Every round is a new page. Play solo against five bots or with 2–8 friends.
Bring your egg crew
Create a room, share the invite and ready up with 2–8 players. Everyone takes one turn as the seeker; the rest of the time you are hiding in the picture as your own egg.
Play with friendsThree markets, five hidden eggs
You seek. Five bots hide in three ever-busier markets, starting with 1700 eggs on the page.
Play soloOn a keyboard
Move with WASD or the arrow keys: your egg while you hide, the magnifying lens while you seek. Press Space to crack the egg under the lens and Shift to zoom in. Press P to pause solo play.
On your phone
Slide the joystick to move your egg or the lens. Tap Crack for the egg under the lens and Zoom to bring the details closer.
Fifteen seconds to hide. Seventy-five to seek.
While the seeker’s eyes are shut you have 15 seconds to pick a spot. Then 75 seconds of seeking. Hiders earn one point for every ten seconds hidden and two more for never being found. The seeker earns a point per find plus up to four for a quick one, and three for finding everyone. A wrong crack costs one point and rattles the lens.
How do the red hats, the crowd and the lens work?
- Red hats
- Every hider wears one, and nobody else on the page does. The page hides its red everywhere else: awnings, bunting, balloons, flags.
- Look-alikes
- Every hider’s skin appears once in the picture, surrounded by decoys that share its silhouette or colour. Stand with them, or behind a cart. Creeping walks, and the crowd never walks.
- The lens
- Drag the magnifying lens over the market, zoom in for the details and crack the egg under it. A hider cracks open; a shopper hops and the lens shakes for 1.5 seconds.
Ranked portraits show the players and their chosen characters. In the picture every egg looks like a shopper until it is found.
A market full of eggs. A few suspicious shoppers. Incognitegg joins the arcade, Neon Nest gets a live race order, and Spoiled Egg turns up the pressure.
Everyone looks innocent. Mostly.
Blend into the market solo against five bots or with 2–8 friends. Ring four bells, catch the players pretending to shop, and watch the lead change in the portrait row. One 80 second round; most points wins.
More shoppers. Better cover.
The market stays busy, with 68 wandering shoppers in solo play and up to 74 in an eight player room. Bells, footsteps and shell cracks have their own sounds.
See who is chasing you.
Neon Nest now shows driver portraits and names in race order. The row updates as you overtake in solo and shared races.
The graveyard woke up.
Spoiled Egg’s solo waves bring more rotten eggs, starting with 18 in wave one, and send them in faster. Breaks between waves are now four seconds in solo and co op.
