Ways to play Yolk Sumo
Yolk Sumo is a free browser sumo game where eggs shove each other around a hot skillet. The cool circle in the middle shrinks twice, and any egg that slides onto the hot rim gets cooked. Play solo against 3 rival eggs, or with 2–8 friends in 1 room. Last egg standing wins.
Bring your egg crew
2–8 players, 1 skillet, 60 seconds. Create a room, share the invite link and ready up. If more than 1 egg is still dry at the buzzer, the egg closest to the middle wins.

You against 3 rival eggs, and they pick their own fights. Cook them all, or keep your shell cool for the full 60 seconds.
Play soloOn a keyboard
Steer with WASD or the arrow keys. Press Space to dash. Press P to pause solo play.
On your phone
Hold to steer. Flick, or tap with a second finger, to dash.
Stay off the hot rim.
The cool circle shrinks at 20 and 40 seconds, and a warning ring shows where the edge is heading. Touch the hot rim and you’re cooked.
How do dashes, shoves and the hot rim work?
- Dash
- A burst of speed across the skillet. It recharges in 3 seconds, and you can’t steer for 0.5 seconds after launching, so aim first.
- Shove
- When 2 eggs collide, the slower egg gets knocked back harder. A big hit scores the faster egg 50 points.
- Slippery edge
- The skillet is slick near the rim. Stop steering there and you keep sliding.
In a friends room everyone fights on the same skillet. A cooked egg cracks, leaves its yolk behind and can watch the rest of the round.
A new slippery sumo: shove other eggs toward the hot rim of a shrinking butter pan. Last dry egg wins.
The pan is the arena.
Play Yolk Sumo solo against rival eggs, or bring two to eight friends onto the same pan. The cool butter shrinks. Slide onto the hot rim and you cook.
Dash with Space, or a flick.
WASD or the arrows steer. Space bursts you forward, and the cream Space key fills while dash recharges. On a phone, hold to steer; flick or tap with a second finger to dash.
Rivals pick their own fights.
Practice bots lock onto different eggs instead of all chasing you. When someone cooks, the shell cracks first, then a yolk stays on the pan.
